Justin Gooch was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Kentucky in 2008, his Juris Doctor from the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville in 2011, and also passed the Kentucky Bar Exam in 2011. He is licensed to practice in the State of Kentucky and before the U.S. Western District of Kentucky.
Justin began his legal career as an Assistant Jefferson County Attorney in Louisville, Kentucky, where he served from 2011 to 2013. During his time as a prosecutor, he managed thousands of cases across various areas of law and became a steadfast advocate for victims, honing his skills in trial advocacy and legal strategy.

As an undergraduate, Justin gained extensive experience in Kentucky’s Thoroughbred horse industry, working for esteemed organizations like Claiborne Farm, Keeneland, The Jockey Club, and WinStar Farm. Today, he leverages this unique background to handle legal matters related to the equine industry, providing specialized counsel to clients in this field.

Justin is happily married and the proud father of two sons. When he’s not in the courtroom, he enjoys coaching his children in various sports, playing soccer, golf, and basketball, and participating in Louisville’s vibrant horse racing culture.
